A Coffee a Day, Keeps the Doctor Away?
Can Coffee Really Keep the Doctor Away?
Well maybe not all the time, but you may be getting more out of your daily cup in ways that you may never even heard of!
Believe it or not, the right amount of coffee each day can actually provide your body with the right amount of nutrients and can even ensure you a healthier future.
According to Diane Vizthum, M.S., R.D., a research nutritionist for Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, coffee can contain antioxidants and other active substances that can help fight against internal inflammation and other diseases. Studies have shown that coffee has helped fight against Type 2 Diabetes, Alzheimer, Parkinson's, and many other diseases.
In addition to this popular beverage being a great source of antioxidants, according to Healthline.com, coffee can also improve your energy levels and make you smarter. They stated that "Caffeine blocks an inhibitory neurotransmitter in your brain, which causes a stimulant effect. This improves energy levels, mood and various aspects of brain function." It is always a great feeling to start off your morning with a warm cup of joe knowing that not only is it waking up your body, but it is also waking your brain!
WOW! Who knew drinking coffee had so many beneficial effects on our body? Let's brew another cup shall we? :D
